Interview on station.lu

I am back home in Luxembourg for a couple of weeks and staying pretty busy with press stuff and taking care of business around here.  It is nice to be back home for a while before the travel starts again.  Here is a cool interview that I did with station.lu a couple of days ago.  I am also on the cover of 352 magazine this week–the guys at station and 352 were cool to hang with and I will most likely be challenging them to a day-in-the-life of a pro triathlete in December–better get training boys!

The day after my first Ironman Hawaii

I am really enjoying the Kona aftermath at the moment!  It was an amaying day and such an awesome experience to get to compete with the best of the best out here in this mystical place.

What did you think about the race?  Any upsets or pleasant surprises?  I would be interested to hear your thoughts!

The day before my first Ironman Hawaii

Make sure to follow the race on www.ironman.com to get up to the minute coverage of me and the rest of the machines out there–battling it out in Kona.

The race will start at 6:45am Kona time (12:45pm EST, and 6:45pm CET) on Saturday October 10th!!!

After a very short 4hr sleep we drove 2h to Frankfurt and from there the party kind of started: FRA-PHI-LAS (2 days packed of meetings, a slight bit of training, accompanied by the worst jetlag possible). Starting at 4am again we headed from LAS via PHX to Kona. Excitement was on the rise when I saw the nice little islands below through my tiny window from the plane, but the past days already took their toll….

How to get the perfect bike fit

I recently spent some time in Hessen with Biomechanic Marcus Blenke, perfecting my bike fit for Hawaii.

Here is a quick clip to show you guys what my afternoon entailed.  Lots of running around for Marcus, and lots of pedaling for me.  My position is now perfect for a really fast bike split in Hawaii in a couple of weeks.
